Brooke and Tom: A Colorado Garden Wedding

It's always just an honor to be asked by another photographer to shoot her wedding! No pressure, though. Not intimidating at all. *cough*

Thankfully, Brooke's about as easy-going a bride as you can imagine, and was beyond chill on her wedding day. Sometimes the stress of pulling off an amazing wedding distracts couples from simply enjoying the day, but not Brooke and Tom. It was so wonderful to see two people just completely relax, let go and have fun on their wedding day. Everyone had a blast driving downtown in a stretch limo for their first meeting on the steps of the courthouse (and thankfully we were prepared with the proper permits when the policeman showed up to, ah, "check on us"), and then we had plenty more time for beautiful portraits around the grounds at the Hudson Gardens in Littleton where Brooke and Tom had their ceremony and reception.

Since they're both musicians, music played a big part in their day. The trumpet fanfare for their entrance was a nice touch, and Tom and his friends surprised Brooke with a serenade! And good taste in music runs in the family...for the family dance Brooke's son Kaden chose "Eye of the Tiger." Excellent choice my friend.

Thank you again guys for having me at your wedding. I had a wonderful time, and I hope you love your images as much as we do!!

Amanda and Dan in Hotlanta! Part 1

Hello wedding we'd like to shoot every weekend. How are you? We're doing fine. Just fine. Because we got to photograph you.

Amanda and Dan were married in July at the Cathedral of Christ the King in Atlanta and their reception followed at the Georgian Terrace. When it comes to describing how beautiful they and their families are, inside and out, I'm kind of at a loss for words (probably why I'm a photographer instead of a writer). The couple is gorgeous, the locations beautiful, their taste in details was impeccable, their families were warm and kind and welcoming, and everything went off without a hitch thanks to Ashley Baber's excellent planning skills. What more can you ask for?

Ranmali and James

July 7, 2011 - Weddings

Woohoo! I was so excited to catch up this spring with Ranmali and James after photographing their smokin' hot e-session in Boulder last summer at their beautiful wedding in Manasota Beach, Florida. That's what's so awesome about working in these two states...engagement photos in the mountains, and then weddings on the beach!

I love the beauty and color of multicultural weddings and this was no exception. Ranmali looked fantastic in her dress and all her girlfriends loved their colorful saris. Both of their families couldn't have been more wonderful, and just wait until you see the reception! You would never believe that was a parking lot, but Nicole Kaney from NK Productions and her amazing staff performed a transformative miracle and everybody partied late into the thanks to Clint Wiley's None Other, which is probably the most rockin'est band I've ever heard at a wedding.
